Assignment 5

Since I left Newport Harbor High School in 2010, BackBay has treated me better than any other school that I have been in. I heard so many bad things about this school coming in as a junior; I was actually scared for my life.

First of all the only thing that I was looking forward to was having no homework to take home every single night like in a "regular" high school. Another big up about this school is that it's so small every teacher knows everyone well, and that's great because you sort of grow a connection with the teachers. So when I would struggle with a subject it was easier for me to ask for help.

Another thing I noticed right away were my grades improved dramatically, from F's to A's and B's. That meant a lot to me and especially my mom because in my previous school I had very poor grades. My grades plummeting started off by not doing my homework, not going to class, and finally not going to school at all. Anyways, I forgot to mention I'm a senior here at BackBay High School so this will be my last year here. I owe a lot to this school and the teachers for helping me through out the way.

Finally, one of the things I'm going to miss the most about this school is playing handball every single day during lunch, and of course the school in general. This school gave me the courage to reach for my diploma, that's why I feel very thankful and I hope every other student feels the same way.
